Barrel Racing (*(*#&#&^$*&#^$*&#$)(*#)

YES, I can back my trailer in somewhat tight spots (did good, didn't I?)

It didn't' take long, we have already warmed up 2 horses, working on a 3rd (she is on the other side of the trailer. Both these sisters have to be saddled twice, since I only have one saddle that fits both, but I do have their own set of boots...LOL

After a day at the barrel race...................

After a day at the barrel race, I no longer smell human.... smell like an equine animal!
For all of you friends and family members who can understand a days work, not getting paid for this work but having fun, is worth it all. I have so much fun and enjoy being with friends who share the same interest and love as I do! I would not trade this life for much of anything else (welllll.......maybe, depending on what I would be trading for, LOL) in the world. I have definitely been blessed with these horses and the love for them....thanks dad!

Basketball coming soon!

Football is coming to a close or an end soon. Our boys have done so well this year. They lost last night to Green Forrest. That puts their record to 5-1-1. Still very good for Lamar! They will return and regroup for the game next week. I am sure, they will be playing a tough ballgame next week. Cameron Looper, DJ Shaw, Casey Kinsey, Mark Pearson and Denvis Moore have contributed a lot to the team this year! k

This leaves me to see the beginning of basketball starting soon! I will be taking pictures of the Lamar Lady Warriors games, BB is a starter and has been pretty much since 8th grade. She can shoot those 3 pt shots well, she is quick and tough as they come under the goal rebounding and fighting for the ball. She talks smack, but does it where you can't see it....LOL That's my daughter. I always get nervous prior to the game. It brings back memories of my high school days. Pictures will be coming soon so you can keep up with our lives for the next 4 months.
fffffffffffffffffffffffff

Thank Goodness fuel is going down!

Filling my truck up and helping B with her car, I was running out of $, now she is working and I have cut back on miles I travel. I do miss my friends in Oklahoma and Kansas. I usually visit them 2-3 times (taking my horses and we hit some big barrel races) in the summer and fall. This year I chose to stay home! We are planning to meet at Branson sometime in December! So I will get to see them at least once this year!

Walking out my front door (God's rolling hills)
My drive-way(God's country)

More of God's Country, what beauty

I love the outdoors, well sometimes (laughing), OK most of the times I love to be outside. After riding my horses the other night, I walked out in the front yard to sit and 'absorb' and 'think' about my life and how blessed I am to have my girls and my mares (horses), my grandchildren, and life. I saw this 'beauty' from my surroundings and all that could come to mind is 'ahhhhhh' what God has made.

The good ol' days

My first piece of furniture dad brought me for my new house
No one likes the old antiques, pieces of the past more than I do. I have always said, "I was born a century to late!" I would have loved to live back in the old days, farms/ranches, Indian Reservations, western towns, just leave out the sickness, because from the past, when the children were sick, they would not be healed like our medicines of today!
My dad brought me this box he found out in the pasture, while he had his dozer over here helping me clear the land to build my house 8 years ago. With today's economy, I am thankful that I built when I did, or I would be living...hummmm, don't know where!
Anyway, back to the KC Baking Powder box, can anyone guess what year this box could have been from? I know some of you don't even remember wooden boxes that supplies were brought/shipped in, so don't even try to 'guess'...LOL

I have to say, "I am sorry"

BB having fun riding my colt

But I do have a good excuse! I have not had a day off since Memorial Day! Going to School Wednesday nights and Saturday's, doesn't give me time to keep up with my blog! I am finishing my Data Analysis paper, I had to video 3 sessions of client sessions. If you are not aware, I have returned to school for my second Masters in Guidance and Leadership Counseling.

Now that I am breathing better, I will try and keep up with what is going on in my family! Oh, yes, we are barrel racing on top of no days off! BB is winning 2 saddles and it looks like no one can catch her! Something she has wanted for a long time!
